I think that each video has to be judged on its individual merit. My kids have seen many of the "old" Disney films, and I don't really have a problem with the content, although they often include witches and faeries. However, I have not allowed them to view the more recent ones, such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, and Pocahontas, because I felt that the content was NOT appropriate. Even the old Disney video Fantasia is not allowed at our home because of its portrayal of evolution and Hell.

If we can't watch those "old" videos, can we read the books? Grimm's Fairy Tales? Tales from the Arabian Nights? Aesop's Fables? Hans Christian Anderson? The list goes on and on. Again, I believe each book must be dealt with individually

Another reason that we don't purchase these anymore is because we have boycotted Disney products across the board. I would love to take my kids to Disney World, but "Gay Day" bothers me too much.

Perhaps this answer is a "cop-out", but it is my view. Judge each video or book on its own basis.
