We see God's blessing everywhere we look. He has added to our church family. He has saved the lost. He has reclaimed the backslidden. He has called forth laborers into His harvest field. He has sent peace and comfort when needed, and has continued to convict the unrepentant. He has been faithful, as His Word says that He will be.

Having seen the faithfulness of God exhibited over the past year, let's take a moment and reflect upon our own faithfulness. Paul writes that it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. How faithful have I been to my Lord this year? Have I been faithful to keep His commandments? Have I spent time with Him on a daily basis? How many folks have I influenced for Jesus Christ in the past 12 months? Is anyone going to Heaven on Jan. 1, 1993, that was bound for Hell on Jan. 1, 1992, because of my faithful witness? These are important questions for each of us to face.

It is very easy for me to excuse my lack of faithfulness by citing the same failings in others. After all, I'm doing just as good a job as _________________ (you supply the name). However the Bible says that those who compare themselves among themselves are not wise (II Cor. 10:12). The Bible tells me to look to Jesus. And when I see my own brand of faithfulness in the light of His perfect faithfulness, it should drive me to my knees. This year, we all need to make a commitment to faithfulness We need to be faithful in our personal relationship with the Lord. We need to be faithful to His church. We need to be faithful to His program of evangelism and discipleship. We need to be faithful to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Every year God proves His faithfulness to us. With His make 1993 the year that we prove our faithfulness to Him.
